motor making noise

Hello,

Does anyone have any idea why my Y axis motor would whine? I set it up just like the X axis motor and that motor is fine?

Can you give some more information about your setup? Is this a stepper or a servo motor? Are both motors and drivers exactly the same?

A PWM stepper motor can whine when the current limit takes place. Of course this should not happen in a proper designed drive.
